Convertible through AutoHalal
Convertibles lose noticeable market value over the American winter, and not to the same degree in Europe — which is what makes importing one worthwhile. They also tend to come from regions that do not salt their roads, and it shows in the bodywork.
The financing comes from a partner, not from us: AutoHalal is the marketplace, and the financing partner buys the vehicle and resells it to you with the margin disclosed. That margin is set once and never recalculated — there is no variable component that can move your instalment later.
Importing a Convertible from the US — what matters
On a convertible the roof is the decisive component and the most expensive one to put right. Region of origin and standing time say more about its condition than the model year: a car from Arizona has little rust and a sun-damaged roof, one from the northeast the opposite. We name the region of origin in the offer, because on this body style it tells you more about condition than any mileage figure.
Customs, transport and registration
Importing from the United States means import duty and import VAT, plus sea freight and registration under German law. We cover 50% of the customs costs and 100% of the transport, including to France, Spain, Italy and Switzerland. Whatever remains is set out in full in the offer before you sign — there is no line item that appears only at handover. Converting the car to European requirements, lighting and odometer among them, is part of the process and not your problem.
